The Line Divides, from starting off with an indie and emo feel in the year 2004, had gotten themselves all set for good things to come. But after the original drummer left, they resolved to take a quick pause, not meaning to falter. For about two years the band came around different influences so to get their own things together and start anew. It was in 2006 with Edric as the new drummer when they debuted at a Halloween gig at Handuraw, and surprisingly intrigued the Cebuano audience. They coped to establish a cornerstone from then on. And made it. Remarked as beat pop, dance rock, pop alternative, whatever we call it, their artistry at this distinctive genre earned them the Cebuanos’ love. Now that they have surfaced, The Line Divides is counting on two things—you, and their ability to move you to sing and dance.
Together with the rest that potentially gave them the funk and the power, the band invites you to share with them the love for music, the persistence to make some more, and the warmth that transcends to continually spread the new sound of the south.
